這首歌的歌詞本身沒有婚禮元素，因為曲調浪漫而成為婚禮宴客/婚禮影片的候選曲之一；選擇這首歌當獻給即將在5/24結婚的同志們，是覺得歌詞的含義很適合，希望你們在未來面對任何困難、閒言閒語時，都能一起攜手渡過！

以下幾句歌詞是入選的主因：

不管他們怎麼稱呼我們/罵我們 (同志們被不好聽的詞稱呼/被罵)

不管他們怎麼攻擊 (同志們受到許多言語上的抹黑)

我不能當一個不是我的人 (像是同志不能當異性戀)

在之前分享的<那些年，我追的西洋男孩團體>裡面有寫到，很多男團裡面都有同志，男孩特區Boyzone也不例外，

就是唱No matter what第一段歌詞的Stephen Gately，Stephen的聲音辨識度很高，帶給這首歌輕柔浪漫的感覺，無人可取代；唱第二段歌詞的Ronan Keating，帶給這首歌陽剛的感覺；兩個主唱輪唱，聽著聽著是不是有情歌對唱感覺呢= =+ ~~可惜Ronan不是彎的~~(別亂配對) 可惜No matter what不是很像情歌，歌詞沒有提到愛情，沒有出現He/She只有Us(因此更適合給同志們)，比起情歌更多的是兩人共同克服困難的承諾，有Westlife - Us against the world 的感覺，差別就在Us這首曲調跟歌詞比較悲壯，No matter what比較輕柔微甜，比較適合婚禮

這首歌是原自音樂劇，畢竟不是專門為愛情/婚禮相關而寫的，也不是為了電影新娘百分百Notting Hill而寫的，所以歌詞有這樣的甜度已經不錯了，分享給大家
