在寫<自由 FREEDOM - 強納森．法蘭岑 Jonathan Franzen>這本書的心得時，有提到房間裡的大象(elephant in the room) ，這個說法是指：顯示易見但人們又避之不談的事。房間裡有這麼大隻的大象，看不到、聽不到也聞不到，應該就是故意不提了吧！

我敬佩的Randy Pausch教授在最後的演講一開頭就說：When there's an elephant in the room.... introduce them! 一開頭就說明他的健康狀況、為什麼叫最後的演講 The last lecture；動物方程式的水牛警長，在會議一開始也說：“We need to acknowledge the elephant in the room.” 接著就點名大象警員，很明顯是在玩雙關語，剛好就像Randy Pausch說的：介紹房間裡的大象。

一直很喜歡最後的演講這本書，還買了英文版來看，不過一直還沒空整理中/英版&演講的心得，這個一定會排一天整理出來滴！
